I bought the anti virus(trend micro) and the webroot spy sweeper, and now it has been about 7 months, and my Webroot says that it will expire in 21 days…

Do i have to get a new one? or use the same disk?

When the warning comes up about expiration you can update then, or go to the site and ‘renew’ your subscription and pay the fee for the license for another year, or click on the icon, and follow the links for renewing subscription. You don’t have to make a new purchase, just renew the one you have. The process will have you do a download and update and then you’ll be set.

Limewire with Webroot Spy Sweeper Program?

What is the best download utility to buy, to clean/repair and protect my Registry?

A Registry Mechanic (installed on my Desktop) scan showed 24 shared DLL’s, 75 Temporary/Shortcut and 14 Deep Scan problems/errors. Unfortunately, I’m not a computer nerd and so, I don’t know what all that stuff means. I haven’t purchased it (Registry Mechanic/PC Tools), yet. I don’t know what a computer “registry” is.

I’m also receiving prompts telling me I have both application and stop (and some other type of error I don’t remember) errors.

My computer’s security programs consist of the following freeware: Ad-Aware SE Personal; Spybot Search & Destroy, and SpywareBlaster for malware/anti-spyware purposes; and for a firewall, ZoneAlarm.

I have an unpurchased/not registered Spy Sweeper (Webroot) on my Desktop which I use for scan purposes.

My only registered/purchased (anti-virus) program is AVG Professional, from Czechoslovakia, and I’m in the last year of their two-year program. I have no big complaints about them. If there’s a better one, I’m not aware of it

I would think you are ok, then.

I use AVG, Spybot, and Ad-aware on my home computer, and have had no problems. Just make sure you clear your cookies frequently, and run those programs at a frequency that would best match how you use your computer. And be careful what sites you go to.

I also use Mozilla Firefox, that has a built-in pop-up blocker. It’s wonderful – and it’s a much better browser than Internet Explorer. Once you learn to tab-browse, you’ll be flying through the net like never before – if you’re not already doing that.

I have Webroot Spy Sweeper on my computer and it has detected a trojan on my laptop. How can I get rid of it?

If I reboot my computer and basically start all over will it remove the Trojan? Or what other method should I use? I have heard that by going to the command prop you can get rid of it there but I do not know where to look for it. I have tried by searching for it and have found nothing. All I know is that the Trojan is called Trojan-Downloader.Gen. What should I do and how?

How would i know if i had a spy or virus and what is this process on task manager (details below)?

I want to know, um why does the taskmanager symbol appear at the bottom of my screen where the start button is and whenever I put my cursor near it it dissapears. It is not on. Then, I do pull up task manager and there is this process called cftmon.exe and i have no idea what it is, my spy sweeper always asks if i would like to eliminate the process and when i do on spy sweeper or task manager it always comes back. What should i do about that? I am certainly not running that process. It just pops up and when i get rid of it my computer runs faster. What is cftmon.exe?

What will happen if i delete a virus from quarantine?

More Programs Crashing on Windows Vista?

I don’t honestly understand, it feels like every other day more and more programs seem to crash, esp when my computers goes to sleep and I come back. Even simple programs like the on-screen keyboard I was playing with, will only close with task manager.

I’ve got a full updated version of mcafee and I’ve scanned my pc.
Full version of webroot spy sweeper.

Idk what it’s problem is, any idea’s?

Do you have sp1? Vista without sp1 is kinda buggy so download all the available updates. Maybe this will solve your problem

your product is an atispyware ..not antivirus. these are 2 different types of threat for computers..you should get an internet security pack..that would include everything you need.

in the mean time you can use AVG free antivirus for home users…

How do I turn my Norton Antivirus back on?

I did a system restore in safe mode because none of my folders were working and it worked. But now my Norton Antivirus is off and I don’t know how to turn it back on. I have Webroot also, Is that enough? Can anyone help me?

i suppose you re using webroot spysweeper with antivirus? if so, then you need to choose between norton and webroot . you should never have a setup of 2 antivirus programs in your pc. if youre using webroot spysweeper only, that is workable with norton, though webroot is quite heavy on the resources, for norton, try uninstalling and reinstalling
