Do you have multiple anti-viral programs installed on your system? That’ll do it.
you have a virus in your system thats why your system freezes. Try online scanner like http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner or http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
These are very good online scanners with latest virus definitions. If problem not solved then it better option is to format your system and installs a fresh copy of windows.
