will trend micro antivirus and webroot antispyware collide and make my computer slow?

will trend micro antivirus and webroot antispyware collide and make my computer slow? please help!

Chosen Answer:

Absolutely not. Trends’ advantage is it works outside your computer on its own servers. Normally two anti-virus programs are incompatible on PC, but Trend is different because the software exists on a server outside your computer. Read the box. It’s a great way to get added protection. It’s a great question. Most people who purchase Trend, also get another Anti-Virus because they can and get fantastic results.

Proof from Trend itself.

programs wont collide but both being needed to be active all the time and both anti virus and anti spyware they will make your computer slow. They will take up the Memory. Most anti viruses take up a portions of memory in different quantities so the computer will seem slower than without them but they are necessary to keep the computer secure.

If they are two incompatible programs yes, they will even cause a conflict.
Also You may have a virus on your system, I attempted to install Spy-sweeper and guess what, My anti-virus caught on it’s cd…….The backdoor virus, stopped it in it’s tracks. Have a nice day

No, one is antivirus and the other is antispyware. They don’t conflict with each other. If you have Trendmicro PC-cilin or internet security. Then, they would be conflicting.

If you experience slowness during startup time, most likely they are competing to get update from internet. If that’s the case, you might want to put Trend Micro services (there are 3 for trend micro) on delay start. If you have able to launch the programs, run each and do a update manually. That should resolve the problem for you!

You might want to check to see if there is any obsolete antivirus/antispyware program on your computer. If so, make sure you remove them completely. They might be the ones that take all your computer resources and make it run slow!
